A two-spread redesign for a National Geographic article. The content discusses about saving hiking trails from the negative repercussions of human and natural disasters. On the cover spread, I illustrated a hand holding a mountain of trails against a map-like texture background to convey human connection with nature. It expresses how we as humans have the power to preserve trails and that it is in our hands to start being more careful. I utilized a rugged-like typography for the title with a trail behind it that curves and wraps into the inner spread. In the inner spread, illustrative elements are sprinkled in to tie into the theme and make the read more engaging.
